Creamy Red Pepper Soup Friday, Oct 30 2015 


What’s better then a bowl of soup on a cool Autumn Day?!? This one is so tasty! Quick and easy to make! Leave the cans of soup on the shelf of the grocery store. Grab a few red peppers and whip this one up!

4 large red peppers seeded and chopped.
1 onion chopped
2 T butter
1/2 c milk
2 t Garlic powder

In large saucepan add peppers , onions, and butter. Cook on medium 5- 10 mins until tender. Puree and pour thru fine mesh strainer.
Return to pot add pepper and milk. Summer 30 mins. Serve piping hot!


Honey Butter Compound Thursday, Oct 29 2015 


Cinnamon Honey Butter!! Spread this wonderful creamy stuff on everything!! It is da bomb. Would be can awesome gift as well! I will be posting a few more compounds in the near future!!! Love this stuff.

2 sticks butter
1/8 c honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
Parchment paper

Using whisk attachment beat butter on low to loosen. Add cinnamon honey and vanilla. Beat on medium about 5 mins. Scoop out on to paper shape into log. Roll. Chill several hours. Can also be put into jars and chilled.

Secret ingredient Stuffed Cabbage Rolls Wednesday, Oct 28 2015 


Ohhh Yes Fall brings out the cabbage rolls!!! These are so easy!  You can toss them in crock pot or simmer on stove top. I don’t care for sauce on them but if you do then add some tomato sauce after you have them all together. Ok you’re wondering what’s the secret,right???
Drum roll please…………
1 can Manwich!!! It adds just a little sweetness and just the right amount of seasoning!

1 can Manwich
1 lb ground beef
1 onion chopped
1 head cabbage
2 cups instant rice.
Par boil cabbage leaves. I used about 12. Fill a large pot with water add salt and leaves. Turn on high. Remove from heat right before it begins to boil..  Drain .Mix alol ingredients. Fill each piece of cabbage and roll up tucking ends under heath. Place in crock for 5 hours on low.

Angel Peanut Butter creme topped Brownies Tuesday, Oct 27 2015 


These are so heavenly!!! This recipe is a very special one to me. I wanted to create something special to honor a very special Angels birthday. Happy Birthday in heaven to my amazing nephew. Jason would have been 26 today. We honored him by doing what he loved to do. Giving, loving, being an amazing young man. Pay it forward was just in his being.
This combination of chocolate and peanut butter is for him. His favorite.
Basic one bowl brownie recipe

2 sticks butter melted and cooled
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup flour.
Mix butter and sugar. Stir in vanilla. Add eggs one at a time. Mixing after each. Stir in cocoa. Add flour do not over mix. Pour into 13×9
Bake at 350 for 30 mins. Let cool completely

Peanut butter creme filling

2 sticks butter soft
1 cup peanut butter
3 cups powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons milk
Beat butter on medium speed for 2 mins Add pb beat 2 more mins scraping down sides of bowl twice. Add milk. Slowly add powdered sugar. Heat until smooth and creamy.


1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter soft
4 oz finely chopped chocolate.

Place chocolate in bowl. In saucepan heat butter and milk on low until butter melts. Turn up to medium and stir until milk starts to bubble around edges. Take off heat. Do not let boil. Pour into chocolate do not stir. Let set 5 mins. Mix and pour over chilled frosted brownies. Return to fridge for 30 mins or until set.

Banana Chocolate Chip Pecan bread machine bread Friday, Oct 23 2015 


I love Autumn!! Crisp sunny days. Bonfire nights!! Beautiful colors peaking on the trees. Makes me all fuzzy!! It also makes me want to bake….everything!!
One of my favorites is bread. I love my bread

I mean who doesn’t love the aroma of bread baking?? I will post some basic bread recipes but I wanted to start with banana bread! Ok if you know my recipes, you know I have to take it up a notch. Plain banana bread is awesome… Just not how I roll!! Let’s toss in some chocolate and pecans! This recipe will also work in the oven 350 for 60 min.

2 eggs
1/3 cup melted butter
1 ounce milk
2 mashed bananas
2 cups  flour
2/3 cups sugar
1.25 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c pecans
1/2 c chocolate chips

Add all wet ingredients into machine.
Mix dry together and add to machine
Set machine to quick bread.
Take a nice walk in the crunchy Autumn leaves!!


Crazy Cake Day Tuesday, Oct 20 2015 


Crazy cake day here!! Why not have some fun and make any ordinary cake extra ordinary?? For the vibrant color I used gel good coloring. Use any yellow or white cake recipe. Divide better in to 4 bowls. Add food coloring mix well. Divide into prepared cake pans. Swirl but do not mix the colors. Bake as usual . frost as desired!

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bread Monday, Oct 5 2015 


It’s October aka Pumpkin craze time!!  I buy in bulk, getting ready to whip up lots of pumpkin spice fudge for our local AutumnFest!!
I figured I might as well see what else I can do with this glorious pumpkin goodness! So many things go wonderfully with pumpkin. One of my favorites is cream cheese 🙂 here’s a wonderful layered breakfast bread!

8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon flour
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 egg
1 2/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups sugar

Preheat to 325. Lightly grease 2 8×4 loaf pans.

In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, 1 egg and vanilla beat until smooth. Set aside. Sift together 1 2/3 cup flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves and pumpkin pie spice; set aside

Place pumpkin, vegetable oil, 2 eggs and 1 1/2 cup sugar in a large bowl; beat well. Stir the pumpkin mixture into the flour mixture just until combined.  Pour 1/2 of the pumpkin batter into the loaf pans. Spoon cream cheese mixture on top of this layer and then pour on the remaining batter.
Bake 60 -70 mins or until tooth pick comes out clean. Cool 10 mins before removing from pan.
