Heres one of those OMG I have to try this!! It is super rich and decadent. You will not be disappointed. This will show some skills on any festive table…Yes the holidays are coming . Yes, your mother in law will be impressed 🙂
Here ya go… no thanks needed 🙂

The filling
16 Tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup butter
12 teaspoons sugar
2 eggs
Dash salt
1 can 12 oz evaporated milk
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons corn starch
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/3 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans

The filling
2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 Tablespoons powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 9 inch deep pie crust
Preheat oven to 375
In small saucepan on low add cocoa,butter,and 12 tsp sugar, heat stirring until well blended and smooth, add milk. In large bowl mix 1 1/2 cup sugar, corn starch and salt. Add eggs, vanilla, and chocolate. Mix until well blended. Poor into pie crust. Top with coconuts and pecans. Bake for 45-50 mins. Knife should come out clean. Cool.
When making the topping place the mixer bowl and whisk in freezer for about an hour. Whip the cream until it starts to thicken. Add powdered sugar and vanilla beat until stiff peaks form. Add dollop of cream garnish with coconut and pecan!!!!!

Fall for Cabbage Soup Monday, Sep 15 2014

Its almost autumn time for big pots of soup!! We are not big on cabbage but…this soup is da bomb!! I had some leftover loose meat burgers so it made it super easy!  Here we go
1 head cabbage chopped
2 small onion choppe
Salt pepper
2 8oz cans tomato sauce
15 oz can chopped tomatoes
4 beef boullion cubes
1 1/2 lb ground beef or turkey cook and drain any excess fat
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
2 quarts water.

Add cabbage, onion , salt , and pepper to water in stock pot. Cook until tender. Add in sauce , boullion, tomatoes,beef. Simmer 10 mins. Add sugar and ketchup simmer 20 mins to blend flavors.

The pecan bars went so fast, i had to keep going with the bar theme! I think these turned out even better!! The crust on these bad boys is pretty versatile. watch for more upcoming recipes using it!!  These are highly addicting!

The chocolate crust
11/2 cups flour
3/4 cup melted butter
3/4cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
Mix together press into a 13×9 pan. Bake at 350 for 10 mins. Leave oven on
Filling
1 1/2 cups caramel sauce
3/4 cup brown sugar
6 tablespoons flour
1 tsp salt
4 eggs
1 bag milk chocolate chips.
With a whisk blend all ingredients except chips. Once well blended stir in chips. Pour on top of warm crust. Return to oven for 35-40 mins. Remove cool on wire rack. Drizzle with melted chocolate and caramel.

Decadent Pecan Pie Bars Friday, Sep 5 2014

Oh these are simply devine! The crust will melt in your mouth. The pecan filling is just like a pecan pie!!! They are decadent gooey goodness!!!
Preheat oven to 350
The crust
2 cups flour
3/4 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup melted butter
Mix all together press in the bottom of 13×9. Bake 10 minutes.

The pecan filling
1 1/2 cups corn syrup
2/3 cups brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
6 tablespoons flour
1 tsp salt
1 2/3 cup pecans. Mix all ingredients except pecans. Fold pecans in. Pour filling into crust. Return to oven bake 30 -35 mins.

In my never ending search for new ways to easily prepare a pork roast, heres my latest creation! The crust really helps to retain the juice inside the meat!
Preheat oven to 350 . I actually used the rotisserie for this roast. Mix together
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup brown sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoon soy sauce . Add last
Drizzle roast with olive oil.
Roll roast in rub. Bake 20 mins per pound.

Ohhhh who’s ready for fall???? Not me but, its after labor day so its ok to bring on the pumpkin!! These are some amazing bars and the frosting is just YUMMMM. Great combo together! 
The frosting
8 oz softened cream cheese
1/4 cup softened butter
1 lb powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp cinnamon
In mixer beat cream cheese  butter and vanilla until ight and fluffy. Slowly add sugar and cinnamon. Mix until frosting consistency.

The Bars
4 eggs
1 2/3 cup sugar
1 cup oil
2 cups flour
2tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

1 15oz can pumpkin

Preheat  oven to 350. Mix all wet ingredients. Mix dry ingredients,. Add wet to dry. Spread in a 9 x 13 pan sprayed with non stick spray. Bake 30 -35 mins . Cool and frost
